Over the past weeks, we’ve taken you through five powerful upgrades in sumUp for Jira Cloud — each designed to make your daily work in Jira smarter, faster, and more intuitive.
From planning to execution, these new features are all about giving teams clarity where they need it most: directly inside Jira. 👉 Check out the complete playlist on YouTube 👈
🚀 Here’s what we’ve dropped
🔎 Live Preview for Two-Dim & Group By Gadgets
What’s new:
Configuring gadgets like Two-Dimensional or Group By used to feel like trial and error — adjust a filter, save, reload, and repeat. With Live Preview, you now see the results instantly while setting up. That means no more endless clicks just to get a chart looking right. Check out the full feature drop.

Mini-use case:
A Scrum Master is preparing for the sprint review and wants to show workload distribution by assignee and issue type. Instead of guessing what the final chart will look like, they can fine-tune filters in real time and immediately see the output. The review meeting starts with the right chart, without wasted prep time.
📊 sumUp Now Available on Scrum Boards
What’s new:
Until now, sumUp worked seamlessly with Kanban boards and dashboards. With this update, Scrum teams can also benefit from roll-ups, totals, and calculations directly on their Scrum boards. Ready to see some more?

Mini-use case:
During sprint planning, the Product Owner asks: “Do we have enough capacity left for one more story?” Instead of switching tools or exporting to Excel, the team can look at their Scrum board and instantly see the sum of story points in the sprint column. Decisions become data-driven in seconds.
💬 The New Feedback & Support Channel
What’s new:
Need to report an issue, request a feature, or just leave feedback? The new in-app feedback channel connects you directly with the sumUp team — no leaving Jira, no digging for links. Explore the entire walkthrough.

Mini-use case:
While configuring a dashboard, a user notices a missing filter option. Instead of filing a ticket somewhere else, they open the feedback channel right in Jira, submit the request, and continue working. It’s support without disruption.
🛠 Transitioning from Connect to Forge
Beyond features, this release marks an important step for sumUp’s future: we are transitioning from Atlassian Connect to Atlassian Forge.
Why this matters:
- Stronger security — Forge apps run in Atlassian’s infrastructure, not external servers.
- Better performance — With closer integration into Jira, Forge-based features are faster and more reliable.
- Future-proof — Atlassian is investing heavily in Forge, ensuring long-term innovation and compatibility.
This transition means you’ll not only get new features today, but also a more secure, scalable, and stable sumUp for tomorrow.✨ Why it matters
With these updates, sumUp is not just about reports and calculations — it’s about smarter work inside Jira. Every feature is designed to reduce friction, eliminate manual work, and give teams the insights they need instantly.
